On Tuesday, the Daily Mirror reported that at least one member of staff at The London Clinic had been caught attempting to access Princess Catherine’s medical notes. The private hospital has launched an internal investigation in response to these claims.

It is worth noting that The London Clinic has provided medical treatment to both the princess and King Charles III in recent months.

Mr Russell’s statement did not directly address the specific allegations regarding Princess Catherine. However, Downing Street acknowledged the importance of adhering to strict rules on patient data and expressed support for the princess’s recovery.

The Prime Minister’s official spokesman stated that the focus should be on wishing the princess a speedy recovery and supporting both her and Prince Charles.

Princess Kate underwent abdominal surgery in January and has since taken a step back from her public duties to focus on her recovery. She spent nearly two weeks at The London Clinic, and Kensington Palace announced that she would be taking time away from public-facing engagements until after Easter.

During her absence, online speculation and conspiracy theories surrounding her health emerged. These were exacerbated by an edited image that was posted on the official social media account of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The image was later found to have been manipulated, and the princess issued an apology for any confusion caused. She explained that she occasionally experiments with editing photographs.
