Threads, the popular social media platform with over 150 million monthly users, is introducing a new feature that gives users more control over who can quote their posts.
Previously, anyone could quote a post and add their own commentary, but now users have the option to limit this feature to only people they follow or disable it completely.
Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, announced the update over the weekend, stating that the goal is to create a more positive environment on Threads. The platform had tested this feature with a select group of users last month and is now rolling it out to everyone.

Additionally, Threads has been testing options for archiving posts, giving users the ability to manually or automatically archive posts after a chosen expiration date.
