Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is set to receive a prestigious honour in the world of aviation. He will be crowned a “living legend” alongside esteemed figures like Buzz Aldrin and James Lovell at the Living Legends of Aviation ceremony.
Hosted by Hollywood actor John Travolta, the event will take place on January 19 in Beverly Hills, California.
Harry’s induction into the Living Legends of Aviation is in recognition of his significant contributions to aviation and aerospace. As a former Apache helicopter pilot, he served in Afghanistan from 2012 to 2013, undertaking both training and combat missions. His bravery and skill saved the lives of Allied forces and countless civilians.
The event’s website describes Harry as a “British Army veteran and pilot with ten years of military service.” He flew training missions in the US, UK, and Australia, accumulating approximately 220 flying hours. While Harry’s aviation prowess is being celebrated, recent reports suggest that he has been excluded from a guide on Sandhurst graduates. The book, focused on 200 high-profile alumni, features a foreword by Prince William and includes singer James Blunt.
