James Cleverly, a member of the Conservative Party, has recently come under fire for his remarks boasting about a Tory crackdown on overseas care workers. This move has sparked controversy and received criticism from various quarters.

In a tweet, he stated, “Today in parliament we have laid an order to ban overseas care workers from bringing dependents. This is just one part of our plan to deliver the biggest-ever cut in migration.”
The government’s decision to implement these measures comes as figures reveal that 672,000 more people entered the UK than left it in the 12 months leading up to June. The Conservative Party’s 2019 general election manifesto had pledged to bring this figure down to less than 229,000.
