Tory Civil War: Rishi Sunak Urged To Sack Suella Braverman Over Controversial Comments

George Osborne, the former Tory chancellor, has also weighed in, stating that the Prime Minister risks looking weak if he decides not to remove Braverman from her position.

Rishi Sunak, the Prime Minister, is facing a major Tory civil war as calls grow for him to sack Suella Braverman, the Home Secretary, over her controversial comments ahead of the pro-Palestine march today.

Braverman has come under fire for stirring “hatred and division” with her claims that the police are biased.

Her job is now on the line after Downing Street made it clear that it had not approved an extraordinary article in which she accused officers of playing favourites during the Armistice Day march.

The situation escalated when No 10 demanded changes to the article, but Braverman ignored the request. As her claims sparked a furious outcry, one Conservative minister broke ranks and accused her of fueling “hatred and division.”

Leaked WhatsApp messages between Tory MPs have revealed discord within the party, with Braverman’s backers and supporters exchanging heated messages regarding her comments on the police.

George Osborne, the former Tory chancellor, has also weighed in, stating that the Prime Minister risks looking weak if he decides not to remove Braverman from her position.

Braverman has been accused of “fanning the flames of hate” towards Muslims due to her attacks on pro-Palestine rallies, which have prompted concerns about her role in fueling “hatred and division.”

The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on British Muslims, a cross-party committee of MPs, criticized the Home Secretary’s rhetoric, describing the demonstrations as “hate marches” and warning that her words are inspiring far-right groups to engage in Islamophobia.

Downing Street’s disapproval of Braverman’s article, in which she accused officers of playing favourites by tolerating the Armistice Day march while using stronger tactics against right-wing protests, has put her job in jeopardy. Senior Tories are urging Rishi Sunak to take action and sack her.

As tensions rise, military generals have come forward to defend the right of pro-Palestinians to march and have called on the Home Secretary to back off.

Meanwhile, 2,000 police officers have formed a ring of steel around the Cenotaph, and Whitehall is bracing itself for potential clashes with far-right groups.

obviously enjoy your site, but a few of your postings use some editing for spelling and grammar. On the one hand, I will definitely return; on the other, I am really annoyed by how many of them have spelling mistakes.
