GOG Partners With Amazon Luna To Enter The Cloud Gaming Market

GOG has also confirmed that its users will be able to play any of the games they own on the platform, as long as those games are also available on Luna. This includes popular titles like The Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077.

GOG, the gaming storefront owned by CD Projekt, has recently announced its foray into cloud gaming through a partnership with Amazon Luna.

This collaboration allows users to stream the games they have purchased from the GOG platform on any compatible device, including PCs, Macs, Android and iOS mobile devices, as well as smart TVs and Fire tablets.

However, it is important to note that these devices must have the Luna app installed and be connected to the internet to access the games.

One of the key advantages of this partnership is the ability to use various Luna-compatible devices and controllers, such as Xbox One and PS4 controllers, to play the games. This offers users a wider range of options and flexibility in terms of their gaming experience.

GOG has also confirmed that its users will be able to play any of the games they own on the platform, as long as those games are also available on Luna. This includes popular titles like The Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077.

If you already have Amazon’s cloud streaming service, you can check if your other games from GOG are accessible through Luna.

What sets this collaboration apart is the seamless integration between the Luna client and the GOG platform. If you come across a game you want to play within the Luna client, you no longer have to go to GOG to purchase it separately.

If the game is available on both services, any purchases made through Luna will automatically appear in your GOG library. Furthermore, GOG ensures that your downloads remain DRM-free, even if you buy the game from Luna.

This means that you can enjoy the benefits of GOG Galaxy features, such as cloud saves and achievements, regardless of where you make your purchase.

While the exact launch date of this collaboration has not been announced, both companies have stated that it will be available “soon.” However, it is important to note that access to this service will be limited to regions where Luna is available.

Currently, Luna is only accessible in the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. Users outside of these regions may have to wait for further expansion of Luna’s availability.
