In the late hours of Friday, two officers and a 61-year-old man were approached and attacked in a communal area.
Following concerns about the residents`Â safety, the Metropolitan Police rushed to the scene in n Noel Park Road in Wood Green at around 7.20 pm yesterday. Three men including two police officers were assaulted on the street.

One of the officers was slashed although he didn`t sustain a serious injury. A 61-year-old who was with them at the scene was also injured. All the officers and the man were taken to the hospital to get medical attention.
Met Police said: “Whilst in a communal area, a man approached the officers before assaulting them and the 61-year-old man who was with them.
“The man suffered stab injuries; we await an update on his condition. One of the officers sustained slash injuries that are not life-threatening. All three remain in hospital receiving treatment.

“A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault; two other people were subsequently arrested as part of the investigation. All three remain in custody. A crime scene remains in place. Inquiries continue to establish a motive, although at this stage it is not thought to be terrorism-related.
