Lockdown Measures Will Continue According To UK PM Boris Johnson

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who has recently recovered from the deadly coronavirus, says it`s too early to ease lockdown measures in his first public appearance. The Prime Minister warned on risking a second wave of the pandemic.

Boris Johnson also stated that as much as he wanted the economy to start moving fast again he cannot throw away the effort and sacrifice made by the UK citizens and risk a second major outbreak and huge loss of life.

“Factories and businesses which had been shuttered since March may need to put social distancing measures in place to keep their employees and customers two meters apart” Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab also said.

The British PM says there are signs the country is turning the tide, though easing restrictions at this time is putting the country at maximum risk.

Dominic Raab has said people will have to get used to a “new normal” due to the coronavirus with social distancing measures to remain in place for some time.
