The former One Directioner tweeted: "Everyone's health and safety remains our top priority, which is why I unfortunately have to postpone all 2020 shows in South America, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand until further notice."

Harry Styles has announced that his world tour will once again be postponed ‘until further notice’ due to concerns about the global Covid-19 pandemic.

This is unfortunate news for his fans who were very excited to see the singer perform live, but on Tuesday Harry took to Twitter to confirm that his 2020 ‘Love On Tour’ shows will be delayed and he hopes that he can go ahead with the ‘shows as planned for 2021’.

The former One Directioner tweeted: “Everyone’s health and safety remains our top priority, which is why I unfortunately have to postpone all 2020 shows in South America, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand until further notice.”

“I really hope to play the shows as planned for 2021 but will continue to monitor the situation over the coming weeks and months. ‘I can’t wait to see you all on the road as soon as it’s safe to do so.” – He added.

Earlier this year, the singer was forced to reschedule the ‘Love On Tour’ shows until next summer, which was meant to start on August 14th and end on October 31st, 2021, but now plans have had to change again due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw has received some backlash on Twitter after replying to Harry Styles post about having postponed his world tour, he wrote: “can’t come to Brazil”.

Although the DJ did not reference the Covid-19 pandemic in his tweet, many of Harry’s followers had taken offense to the message about Brazil, as there is a high rate of coronavirus deaths and millions of cases in the country.

Some Twitter users pointed out that the DJ was making fun of Harry Styles fans who often ask him to go to Brazil.

One fan tweeted: “so no one realises that he’s making a joke about ppl constantly saying “come to brazil””

While another wrote: “”come to brazil” jokes or any jokes about brazil are not funny if you’re not from here.”

It’s the right thing to do, have to be absolutely sure you can keep the safety of the audience and crew members.
