Dispute Over iPad Charger Causes Wife To Murder Her Own Husband

After a serious falling-out over an iPad charger, Penelope Jackson, 65, attacked her fourth husband with a kitchen knife. Unfortunately, the husband who had sustained fatal stab wounds succumbed to death. The post-mortem conducted on David Jackson`s body confirmed that his death was due to a number of stab injuries.

Jeremy Mullins, Mrs Jackson`s son-in-law said: “It was one of those petty rows, apparently over a phone charger for an iPad. They both wanted to charge up their devices and there was only one charger, so they started rowing about who could use it first.”

Mr Jackson formerly served as a senior Army officer and was also the captain of a local golf club was described as a “lovely man” who was “well respected”.

In a statement, DI Roger Doxsey, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “Our thoughts and sympathies go out to the man’s family at this time. A family liaison officer will provide specialist support to them at this difficult time. Our enquiries are at a very early stage, but we believe this to be an isolated incident at this time.”

The retired chartered account, Mrs Jackson was charged with murdering her 78-year-old husband David.

Neighbours said the incident really shocked them as they had “never heard a crossword” exchanged between the Jacksons.

One neighbour said: “They seemed like a nice, ordinary couple. I’d see them coming and going and we’d always exchange hellos and they seemed very pleasant. Whatever has gone on in there is terribly sad for all concerned.”
