Chris Brown Is Set As A Headliner Act For Afro Nation In 2021

Chris Brown has officially been announced as a headline act for the Afro Nation Portugal festival that is set to return next year.

Chris Brown has officially been announced as a headliner act for the Afro Nation Portugal festival that is set to return next year.

Afro Nation is a Portuguese Afrobeats, hip-hop, dancehall, basement, and R&B festival held each summer on the Praia da Rocha beach, just south of Portimão.

The event this year was cancelled due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, but they have recently announced their line-up for 2021.

Afro Nation took to Instagram to share a promo video of Chris Brown performing with the following caption: “Did someone say @chrisbrownofficial on a beach in Portugal!?!? This will be his first European performance in 5 years #ANP2021 Go Crazy.”

The 2021 events line-up lists the likes of Tion Wayne, Burna Boy, Davido, Koffee, WizKid, and Skepta among others.

In a statement posted on the official festivals Twitter account, they said: “Afro Nation has been closely monitoring this situation and working in tandem with partners, local authorities and the Portuguese government. The safety of our fans, artists, staff and the local community remain paramount.”

It went on to say: “In light of the recent Portuguese Government directive regarding large gatherings, Afro Nation Portugal will be postponed to July 1-3 2021 and all tickets will remain valid.”

“On a more positive note, we have been working hard behind the scenes for every eventuality. We have expanded our line-up, and can now confirm the biggest Afrobeats line-up of all time for Afro Nation Portugal 2021.” – They added.

“As an independent festival we are committed to putting on the biggest and best Afrobeats events to take place anywhere in the world for you.” – The statement concluded.

⁣Presale for tickets takes place on the 3rd of September 2020 at 9AM BST and are on sale on the 4th of Septemeber 2020 at 9AM BST.
