On Saturday, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari issued a joint statement via Instagram. The couple has revealed that they have lost their child.
The pop superstar shared her tragic news in an all-text Instagram message to her page with 41M followers Saturday, tagging Sam.

“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce we lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy. This is a devastating time for any parent.
“Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along, however, we were overly excited to share the good news” she continued seemingly alluding to her earlier announcement she was expecting with her fiance.
She continued, “Our love for each other is our strength.”
“We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family.”
Britney concluded, “We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment.”

She signed the Instagram note in script font, “Sam & Britney” and captioned it with gratitude:
