Arsenal Reveals Bronze Statue Of Arsene Wenger At Emirates Stadium

Wenger's influence on Arsenal is so profound that last season's second-place finish under Mikel Arteta marked their best Premier League campaign without Wenger in charge.

Arsenal has revealed a 3.5-meter bronze statue of former manager Arsene Wenger outside the North Bank Stand.

Wenger, who led the Gunners from 1996 to 2018, guided the team to three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups during his tenure.

The 73-year-old will be a guest of honor at Arsenal’s home friendly against Monaco, another of his former clubs, on Wednesday.

Wenger’s influence on Arsenal is so profound that last season’s second-place finish under Mikel Arteta marked their best Premier League campaign without Wenger in charge.

With 1,235 matches managed at Arsenal, Wenger is most renowned for overseeing the club’s unbeaten Premier League campaign in 2003-04.

He also secured Champions League qualification for 20 consecutive years. The statue of Wenger joins those of five other Arsenal legends – Tony Adams, Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, Herbert Chapman, and Ken Friar – outside the stadium.

Arsenal manager Arteta, who was signed as a player by Wenger in 2011, expressed his admiration for the tribute, stating that Wenger fully deserves the recognition and will forever be a part of the club.

The statue was created by sculptor Jim Guy.
