Two brothers have pleaded not guilty to charges of assaulting police officers during a widely publicized disturbance at Manchester Airport’s Terminal Two.
The incident, which took place on July 23, was captured on video and circulated widely on social media, drawing significant public attention.
Details of the Alleged Assaults
Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, from Rochdale, is accused of assaulting three police officers—PC Zachary Marsden, PC Lydia Ward, and PC Ellie Cook—causing actual bodily harm. One of the alleged assaults occurred at the terminal’s car park pay station.
Additionally, he is charged with attacking a member of the public, Abdulkareem Ismaeil, at a nearby Starbucks café earlier that day.
His brother, Muhammad Amaad, 25, also from Rochdale, faces a charge of assaulting PC Marsden, allegedly causing actual bodily harm during the same incident.

Both men appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday, formally entering their not-guilty pleas.
The court has scheduled a three-week trial on June 30 at the same venue. Until then, the brothers remain free on unconditional bail as they await further legal proceedings.
