The final stretch of Saturday Night Live UK’s debut season is set to feature two high-profile names, as producers confirm the last guest hosts before the series concludes.
It was announced on Friday that Hannah Waddingham will take charge of next week’s live instalment, bringing her signature charisma to the British spin on the iconic sketch show.
She will be followed by Ncuti Gatwa, who is set to headline the season finale, closing out the inaugural run on what producers hope will be a high note.

Waddingham’s episode will also feature Brit Award-winning artist Myles Smith as the musical guest, while the grand finale hosted by Gatwa will include a performance from Holly Humberstone.
Before those closing chapters, however, attention turns to this week’s show, hosted by Aimee Lou Wood. The appearance marks her first time fronting the programme, coming just over a year after she criticised the US version for its portrayal of her in a sketch.
Addressing the situation directly, the Bafta-winning actor signalled her willingness to lean into the moment, referencing the controversy in the first teaser for her episode.
Wood, known for her role in The White Lotus, will be joined by musical guest Meek, whose track Fabulous gained widespread attention online.
Will Saturday Night Live (SNL) UK Return For A Second Season?
Following the episodes hosted by Wood, Waddingham and Gatwa, the future of Saturday Night Live UK is expected to be decided, with a second season yet to be confirmed.
The show launched amid mixed expectations but has since received largely positive reviews and maintained consistent viewing figures throughout its run.
A number of high-profile hosts have already appeared this season, including Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed, Jack Whitehall and Nicola Coughlan.

Like its American counterpart, the UK edition has also generated discussion for its political satire, particularly sketches featuring George Fouracres portraying Prime Minister Keir Starmer — moments that have even drawn attention from Donald Trump.
