Prince William and Princess Kate marked Valentine’s Day in a rare, intimate way—by sharing a romantic photograph of themselves.
The image, posted to their official X (formerly Twitter) account, shows the couple dressed casually, sitting on a blanket in the woods. Prince William gently kisses Kate on the cheek as they hold hands, exuding warmth and closeness.

The photo is a still taken from the video released last year, in which the Princess of Wales announced the end of her cancer treatment. Their simple yet powerful post, accompanied only by a heart emoji, was their first-ever Valentine’s Day tribute as a couple.
A Year of Challenges and Resilience
This tender moment follows a tumultuous year for Kate, who underwent abdominal surgery, was diagnosed with cancer, and bravely faced chemotherapy treatment.
In November 2023, she shared a deeply personal video announcing the completion of her chemotherapy. The footage captured precious family moments with William and their three children, as she expressed her determination to stay cancer-free.

Prince William has since described 2024 as one of the most difficult years of his life, calling it “brutal” and a time of deep personal challenge.
A Love That Has Stood the Test of Time
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s love story began over 20 years ago at St Andrews University in Scotland, where their friendship blossomed into romance.
Reflecting on their bond in their engagement interview, Prince William said:
“We both have a very fun time together and a good sense of humor about things.”
Kate described him as a “loving boyfriend” who had always been “very supportive through both the good times and the bad.”
