Jeremy Clarkson Reveals Aggressive Prostate Cancer Diagnosis In Clarkson’s Farm

Ahead of the release of the latest episodes on 16 June, Clarkson warned fans that the concluding instalments of the season would be particularly emotional.

Jeremy Clarkson has disclosed that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, sharing the news during the latest season of Clarkson’s Farm.

The television presenter revealed the diagnosis during an on-screen conversation with co-stars Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland. When Cooper asked where the cancer was located, Clarkson replied: “Where it is is of no concern of anybody. I’ve known since May.”

The former Top Gear host explained that the diagnosis came after a biopsy following a routine medical examination.

“I disappeared off the other week and I had a biopsy, and it is cancer, and it’s aggressive, but it’s really early,” he said.

Clarkson also reassured those around him about his prognosis, saying: “I promise I’ll be fine,” while noting that he would be sidelined “for a little while”.

During the programme, Clarkson said he had hoped to complete the demanding harvest season before beginning treatment. However, the timing meant it arrived “slap bang in the middle” of farm operations.

Later in the series, the broadcaster provided a further update on his condition, saying: “the prostate, 10% of it’s dead… the 10% where the cancer is”.

Viewers are also shown footage of Clarkson, 66, speaking from a hospital bed after complications during treatment.

He said: “I’m going to be here for a little while. I don’t know what’s going to happen.

“What I wanted to say was if this is all successful, I’ll see you in season six, and if it isn’t, I won’t… Take care, everyone.”

Clarkson’s Farm New Episodes Feature Emotional Health Battle

Ahead of the release of the latest episodes on 16 June, Clarkson warned fans that the concluding instalments of the season would be particularly emotional.

In a video posted to Instagram, he said: “Ordinarily, we try to keep the show bucolic and charming and cheerful, but the final two episodes which drop in the middle of the night tonight are… they’re none of those things, really, they’re a difficult watch.

“They’re really, really difficult.”

Jeremy Clarkson Encourages Regular Prostate Cancer Checks

Clarkson has previously spoken publicly about the importance of regular health screenings.

In an interview with The Times, he explained that he attends routine check-ups after seeing “too many friends go down with prostate cancer”.

“All it takes is a moment or two” to check your status, he added.

The issue has also touched members of the Clarkson’s Farm team. Farmhand Gerald Cooper was diagnosed with cancer before later being declared cancer-free in 2024.

That same year, Clarkson underwent a heart procedure. Writing in his column for The Sunday Times, he revealed: “of the arteries feeding my heart with nourishing blood, one was completely blocked and the second of three was heading that way”.
