Jay-Z has strongly denied the recent allegations made against him in a civil lawsuit refiled on December 8. The lawsuit, originally filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs, now includes the rapper as an additional defendant.
In the new legal documents, an anonymous accuser, referred to as “Jane Doe,” claims that Jay-Z and Combs sexually assaulted her in 2000, when she was just 13 years old, after an MTV Video Music Awards party in New York.
Responding swiftly to the refiled lawsuit seen by SurgeZirc FR, Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, issued a statement condemning the charges.

He directed his remarks at the accuser’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, stating, “These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!!” He further expressed his belief that anyone who commits such a crime against a minor should be “locked away.”

Jay-Z accused Buzbee of attempting to settle the matter privately before reintroducing the case to the public. He said, “What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle.”
In response, Buzbee confirmed that his firm had sent a demand letter to Carter’s legal team but insisted that the alleged victim only sought “confidential mediation,” not financial compensation.
Jay-Z, who shares children with wife Beyoncé, expressed his primary concern for his family’s well-being, stating, “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims.”
Jay-Z Continued With His Responds
He added that the ordeal was a painful reminder of the cruelty and greed some people exhibit.
Reflecting on his own upbringing in Brooklyn, Jay-Z emphasized, “We don’t play these types of games. We have very strict codes and honour. We protect children.”

The rapper’s statement comes amid mounting sexual abuse allegations against Combs, who is currently in jail awaiting trial for federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
Combs, who has denied all allegations of wrongdoing, has faced multiple civil lawsuits in recent months. His legal team has dismissed the filings as attempts to generate publicity and has expressed confidence that the truth will prevail in court.
