The Kremlin has strongly pushed back against claims that Russia is deepening its intelligence and military ties with Iran, dismissing the reports as largely unfounded.
Speaking during a routine briefing, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov rejected the allegations outright, indicating that Moscow does not intend to address each report individually.
He said: “The vast majority [of reports about the Iran war] are nothing more than disinformation, so we do not consider it necessary to comment on each and every one of them.”
Kremlin Rejects Intelligence Sharing Allegations With Iran
Peskov added that even officials in Washington have not confirmed the claims, suggesting a lack of verified evidence behind the reports.
“Official representatives of the United States have made statements on this matter, saying themselves that they have no information on the subject,” he said.
His remarks come amid growing scrutiny over Russia’s role in the region, particularly following comments from Donald Trump, who last week said he believes Vladimir Putin and Russia are helping Iran “a bit”.
Reports Claim Russia Supplied Satellite Imagery And Drone Technology
The denial follows a report by The Wall Street Journal, which alleged that Russia has been providing satellite imagery and drone technology to assist Iran in targeting US forces as.
The Kremlin, however, has maintained its position, framing such claims as part of a broader wave of misinformation surrounding the conflict.
