YouTube TV subscribers can breathe a sigh of relief—Paramount content is staying put. Just days after YouTube warned that popular channels like CBS, CBS Sports, and Nickelodeon could disappear, the company confirmed it had reached a deal to keep them.
The agreement also ensures add-ons like Paramount Plus, Showtime, and BET Plus remain available for users.
The news came as a swift update to a February 12th blog post in which YouTube TV had initially cautioned users about potential disruptions.

At the time, the company even promised an $8 credit if Paramount content became “unavailable for an extended period of time.” However, negotiations were extended, and now, a resolution has been reached.
Will YouTube TV Subscription Prices Increase Again?
While the specifics of the new deal remain undisclosed, many customers are wondering whether this agreement will result in another price hike. YouTube TV has already increased its subscription cost by $10, bringing the monthly fee to $82.99 in December.
This pricing shift aligns with similar increases from streaming competitors like Fubo, Hulu Plus Live TV, and Sling TV, as the industry adjusts to the ongoing shift from cable to streaming services.
Addressing concerns on X, YouTube’s support team reassured users that any pricing changes would be communicated in advance. “We take these decisions very seriously & will be sure to communicate any potential changes in the future before they happen,” the TeamYouTube account stated in response to inquiries.
Streaming Industry Faces Pricing Pressure
The battle for content rights and rising costs continues to reshape the streaming landscape.
As content providers seek to maximize revenue and streaming platforms negotiate new contracts, consumers are left wondering how long they can enjoy their favourite channels without additional price hikes.
However, for now, subscribers can rest easy knowing that their favourite Paramount content will remain part of YouTube TV’s offerings.
