It has been a few days since Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s address to the public aired, where he laid out a new method of practice for the up and coming weeks in partial lockdown. Boris Johnson was clear about the progression of these lockdown measures being solely dependent on the gradual decrease in the ‘R’ (rate of infection).

“We cannot move forward unless we satisfy the 5 tests,” said Mr Johnson, and continued to give a detailed description of the strategic plan. Johnson also proposed that workers and school-goers, specifically reception and primary school children (up to year 6) are expected to make a return to their schooling and work programmes in June. High school students will be given more time to consult with their teachers to prepare for their examinations, next year.

Citizens are encouraged to exercise outside more for extended periods of time, to engage in outside activities with their families but are restricted to only associating with people from the same household, those who fail to do so will be subjected to paying a fine, as punishment for breaking lockdown regulations.
