A senior Ugandan military figure has publicly declared his willingness to support Israel amid the ongoing conflict involving Iran, drawing international attention through a series of social media statements.
General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, a prominent figure in Uganda’s armed forces, made the remarks in posts where he expressed solidarity with Israel and offered potential assistance if requested.
In one of his statements, he wrote: “It only need ask. Their Ugandan brothers are ready to assist,” signalling readiness to intervene on Israel’s side in the conflict.
Uganda Military Support For Israel Amid Iran War Tensions
General Kainerugaba elaborated on his position, attributing his stance to religious alignment. He said: “we stand with Israel because we are Christians”, while also referencing the Bible in his remarks.
His comments form part of a broader series of posts in which he has repeatedly expressed support for Israel during the ongoing hostilities involving Iran.
Calls To End Middle East Conflict While Backing Israel
Despite offering support, the general also called for an end to the fighting in the region. He stated:
“We want the war in the Middle East to end now. The world is tired of it. But any talk of destroying or defeating Israel will bring us into the war. On the side of Israel!”
