Twitter may have rebranded as “X,” but a piece of its legacy will live on—just not in its original home. The iconic 12-foot-tall bird logo that once adorned Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters has been sold at auction for a hefty $34,375.

Though the final bid came in slightly below the $40,000 estimate by auctioneers RR Auction, it remains a significant price tag for a slice of internet history.

A Heavyweight Relic from Twitter’s Past

Originally perched on the company’s former headquarters on Market Street, the enormous sign—fondly referred to as “Larry” by former employees—was removed after Elon Musk rebranded the platform to “X.”

The sign, which measures 145˝ x 105˝ (roughly 12 feet by 8 feet) and weighs a staggering 560 pounds, is no small keepsake.
