Donald Trump used Christmas Day to deliver a provocative holiday message that reignited debate around Jeffrey Epstein, the late convicted sex offender whose network of wealthy and powerful associates remains under scrutiny.
Posting on his Truth Social platform, the US president extended seasonal greetings while sharply criticising figures he claims were once close to Epstein before distancing themselves when legal pressure mounted.
The message came amid renewed controversy surrounding the Justice Department’s handling of Epstein-related documents.

Trump’s remarks followed a series of online posts over the festive period, including Christmas Eve attacks on what he repeatedly described as the “Radical Left,” as he continues to push back against criticism and media narratives surrounding his past associations.
He wrote, “Merry Christmas to all, including the many Sleazebags who loved Jeffrey Epstein, gave him bundles of money, went to his Island, attended his parties, and thought he was the greatest guy on earth, only to ‘drop him like a dog’ when things got too HOT, falsely claimed they had nothing to do with him, didn’t know him, said he was a disgusting person, and then blame, of course, President Donald J. Trump, who was actually the only one who did drop Epstein, and long before it became fashionable to do so,”
He continued by accusing political opponents of hypocrisy and deflection, adding, “When their names get brought out in the ongoing Radical Left Witch Hunt (plus one lowlife ‘Republican,’ Massie!), and it is revealed that they are Democrats all, there will be a lot of explaining to do, much like there was when it was made public that the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax was a fictitious story – a total Scam – and had nothing to do with ‘TRUMP.’”
Trump Pushes Back Against Epstein File Fallout
The comments arrive as Trump’s Justice Department faces criticism over its management and release of Epstein-related files. Trump has repeatedly dismissed claims about his relationship with Epstein, stating that he severed ties long before the financier’s crimes became public knowledge.
Despite this, Trump’s name appears multiple times in recently released documents. Records confirm that Epstein attended events at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, and a federal prosecutor cited in the Justice Department’s latest document release claimed Trump flew on Epstein’s private jet “many more times than previously has been reported (or that we were aware).”
Earlier this week, the U.S. President argued that the timing and nature of the document releases were politically motivated. On Monday, he said the disclosures were designed to “deflect from the tremendous success that the Republican Party has.”
Media Criticism and a Defiant Holiday Sign-Off
Trump also turned his attention to media coverage, singling out The New York Times and suggesting its reporting on the Epstein files would harm individuals connected to the publication.
He wrote, “The Failing New York Times, among many others, was forced to apologise for their bad and faulty Election ‘Reporting,’ even to the point of losing many subscribers due to their highly inaccurate (FAKE!) coverage.”
Continuing his criticism, Trump added, “Now the same losers are at it again, only this time so many of their friends, mostly innocent, will be badly hurt and reputationally tarnished. But sadly, that’s the way it is in the World of Corrupt Democrat Politics!!!”
He ended the post with a characteristically blunt holiday message, “Enjoy what may be your last Merry Christmas! President Donald J. Trump.”
