Fans are convinced that A$AP Rocky’s latest song contains a diss aimed at Travis Scott, and all indications point to their connections with Rihanna being at the heart of the matter.
During his headline performance at the Rolling Loud Miami music festival on Sunday, the 34-year-old rapper offered a sneak peek of three unreleased tracks from his upcoming album, Don’t Be Dumb.
In a video shared on social media, A$AP Rocky could be heard rapping, “First you stole my flow, so I stole your chick / Then you took my style, I need at least like 10 percent / All the disrespect, I hope you take offense.”
The lyrics sparked immediate speculation among fans that A$AP Rocky might be referencing Scott, 32, particularly due to the line, “I stole your chick,” as both artists have a connection to the “Diamonds” singer.
Rocky and Rihanna, 35, turned their long-standing friendship into a romantic relationship, with the couple confirming their romance in November 2020. They share a son, RZA, who is 14 months old, and they are currently expecting their second child together.
On the other hand, Rihanna was initially linked to Scott in late 2015 when they were seen together on various occasions, including a tattoo appointment, a fashion week afterparty, and multiple nights out in West Hollywood, California.
Additionally, Scott is credited as a producer on Rihanna’s 2015 hit “Bitch Better Have My Money” and “Woo” from her 2016 album Anti. The pair even sparked further speculation when Rihanna attended Scott’s set at Hollywood nightclub 1 OAK in October of that year, with an onlooker revealing, “Once Travis finished his set, they were inseparable and all over each other. It was cute!”
Moreover, Scott had the opportunity to open for Rihanna during the North American leg of her Anti tour, starting in February 2016.
Despite persistent rumors, neither of them ever publicly acknowledged any romantic involvement.
Scott later moved on to date Kylie Jenner, with whom he shares a daughter, Stormi, aged 5, and a son, Aire, who is 17 months old.
