‘The Kissing Booth 2’ trailer has officially been released on July 6th, giving us a sneak peek on what to expect in this romantic sequel filled with the drama of a long-distance relationship, choosing between your best friend and boyfriend, and there’s a new boy to add to the distractions.
The sequel picks up after Noah, played by Jacob Elordi, and Elle, played by Joey King, spend an amazing summer together. Noah goes off to Harvard, while Elle starts her senior year with her best friend Lee, played by Joel Courtney.
Noah and Elle miss each other a lot and they try to make their romantic relationship last in ‘The Kissing Booth 2’ but with being a thousand miles apart drama is sure to come up, especially at high school.
Of course, the three most popular girls got involved, known as the OMG Girls, as they bring up that there are “so many beautiful girls at Harvard,” one of which brings up the ‘fact’ that, “With different zip codes, breakups are basically automatic.”
There are flashes of a Havard student named Chloe, played by Maisie Richardson-Sellers, who evidently looks like a supermodel and seems to be trying to get Noahs’ attention.
This causes Elle to worry about what Noah is up to in Boston, but he tells her that she needs to trust him. This doesn’t stop Elle from crying at some point in ‘The Kissing Booth 2’.
Noah even tries to get Elle to go to college in Boston so they can be closer, but this puts a wedge in her and Lee’s friendship as they planned to go to the University of California, Berkeley ever since they found out that’s where their mothers become best friends.
Elle finds herself torn and not knowing what to do, but she does apply to Havard without telling Lee, which you can just imagine how he reacts when he finds out.
‘The Kissing Booth 2’ also includes a new boy named Marco, played by Taylor Perez, arriving being “seriously luscious” and “The OMG’s described a 100 different ways Marco is a snack”. This causes a bit more drama as Elle and Lee ask him to one of the kissers at the kissing booth this year but he flatly says no.
Though Marco and Elle do get closer and it seems to hint at him being attracted to her as he admits to Elle in a romantic setting that, “If I found someone who’s smart and funny and liked the same stuff I liked, I’d hold onto them.”
