Strictly Come Dancing producers have moved swiftly to shut down reports suggesting the long-running BBC series could be heading for a dramatic behind-the-scenes overhaul.
The rumours emerged on Monday evening after a tabloid report claimed show executives were exploring the possibility of relocating Strictly from Elstree Studios in Borehamwood to Media City in Salford.

The potential move was described as “seismic” and framed as a strategic shift that could widen the pool of celebrity contestants.
The same report suggested that a northern base might make it easier to attract soap stars and high-profile footballers, many of whom are already based in that part of the country.

A spokesperson for Strictly Come Dancing has firmly rejected the claims, insisting there is no truth to suggestions of a relocation.
“There are no plans to move Strictly Come Dancing,” a representative told Metro. “Any suggestion otherwise is pure speculation.”
The statement appears to put an end to the speculation, confirming that Elstree Studios will remain the show’s home for the foreseeable future.
Strictly Presenter Changes Confirmed Ahead of Next Series
While the studio rumours have been dismissed, one confirmed change is set to reshape the show next year. Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will step down as presenters at the end of the current series.
The pair will host this weekend’s live final before making their final appearance during the pre-recorded festive special, which is due to air on Christmas Day.
