The Brazilian superstar, Neymar will be able to leave the French team this summer and for a reasonable fee which amounts to only over half of what Paris Saint-Germain spent on him when he arrived at the club.
PSG sporting director, Leonardo Araujo said that Neymar will be available to move to any club that comes for him in the next transfer window.
The international superstar, who has battled injury this season, has been let out of the string and would likely move this summer window, an ESPN report from Goal said with his former club Barcelona reportedly being the most interested party.
The French champions want only a slice of what they spent for the world’s most expensive footballer in 2017 – about £136million would be enough to see Neymar exit the Parc des Princes.
Kylian Mbappe would not enjoy the same grace as Neymar, however, as PSG want to keep hold of the World Cup winner at all costs.
This follows as PSG came under severe pressure for their supposed mimicking of Erling Haaland’s trademark celebration after the French side knocked Borussia Dortmund out of the Champions League.
PSG scored twice in the return leg with goals coming from Neymar and Juan Bernat Velasco, to overturn a 2-1 deficit and earn a place in the quarterfinals of the competition.
After their victory, PSG stormed social media to mock German forward Haarland, with Mbappe leading the move, the side replicating the striker’s ‘zen’ celebration.
This may be because Haarland had made a Snapchat post bragging that Paris belonged to him just a day before the encounter.
There hasn’t been any word from Neymar as to where he’s eyeing.
