Unfortunately, Simon Cowell will have to miss this years’ Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals due to a timetable clash with the US version of the show.
Due to COVID-19 a lot of shows had to be reshuffled, now Simon will have to make other arrangements around Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals as he is meant to also judge America’s Got Talent around the same time.
This will be the first time Simon has ever missed out on Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals, but due to the timetable clash he cannot be there in person but he plans to appear via video link on the ITV show and then return for the final that is expected to take place this year in October.
A source said to The Sun: “Simon is gutted to not be physically there for the semi-finals, but he’ll be there virtually, casting an eye over the talent and imparting his views in every show.”
“He can keep an eye on David Walliams to make sure he doesn’t get too big for his boots while Simon is in the States.” – The source added.
The source went on to say: “Normally, schedules mean Simon can do both but AGT’s dates haven’t moved while BGT’s have due to coronavirus.”
Simon is well known as a judge on these talent shows and he even created his own music show franchise called the X Factor which launched in 2004 and had found some of the country’s best-emerging talent which includes One Direction and Little Mix.
Simon has always been a judge on Britain’s Got Talent ever since its first debut in 2007. The delayed series is set to return with a one-off catch-up show and then it will run the semi-finals on Saturday nights during autumn for 2020.
