Robert Pattinson has opened up about the defining factor that shapes his choice of film roles, offering insight into how he decides which projects to pursue.
The 39-year-old actor shared his thoughts during an interview with HuffPost UK, explaining what immediately captures his attention when reading a script.

“If, when you’re reading, you want to read it out loud immediately, that’s always the number one thing,” he said, describing the instinctive reaction he looks for.
Pattinson was speaking at the official launch of beer brand 1664’s Good Taste platform, held at Town Hall Spaces in King’s Cross, London, where he appeared as the brand’s first global ambassador.

The event also marked the premiere of a new campaign featuring the actor, directed by Brady Corbet, known for The Brutalist.
Dressed in Dior, Pattinson elaborated further on what makes a script stand out to him.
“If there’s one line where I’ll want to say it to people around me… no one has any idea why it’s interesting, it’s totally out of context, but I want to just keep repeating this one line, like ‘Look at that, look at that!’”
He added that he is drawn to projects that carry an unpredictable edge, saying he looks for “something which feels a little bit dangerous and [could] cause a bit of a frisson.”

That sense of intrigue appears to align with his latest project, The Drama, in which he stars alongside Zendaya.
The film follows a couple whose relationship begins to unravel ahead of their wedding after a troubling revelation about the bride-to-be’s past emerges.
Audiences in the UK will not have long to wait to see how the story unfolds, with the film scheduled for release on 3 April.
