Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have moved out of Los Angeles and have bought their first private family home together in Santa Barbara, following their decision to step back as senior members of the royal family at the start of the year.
The move from their Beverly Hills mansion owned by movie producer Tyler Perry to getting their own private mansion was mainly done because they plan to ‘settle down in the area and put down lasting roots for themselves and [their] young son Archie’.
A source told PageSix: “Harry and Meghan have been quietly living in their own home in Santa Barbara since early July.”
The source continued: “They are not houseguests of Oprah or anyone else, they bought this home themselves. This is where they want to continue their lives after leaving the UK.”
“This is the first home either of them has ever owned. It has been a very special time for them as a couple and as a family — to have complete privacy for six weeks since they moved in.” – The source added.
Being in the spotlight all the time is not enjoyed by everyone, especially when you’re just trying to live your life and raise a child. Harry and Meghan ‘intend to put down their roots in this house and the quiet community, which has considerable privacy’.
Prince Harry and Meghan would like to bring up their son Archie in what can be considered a ‘normal life as possible’.
A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan confirmed that they had moved into their new home in July, and described the neighborhood as being quiet and private, lets hope it stays that way now that the public knows they have officially moved house.
