Prime Minister Boris Johnson Out Of Intensive Care

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is on the road to recovery as he left the intensive care unit at St Thomas’ Hospital after his health deteriorated this past weekend.

The Prime Minister who had earlier announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19 continued to have prolonged symptoms which led to him having to be admitted on Sunday as his situation worsened.

Downing Street announced that his condition has greatly improved and that he was in “extremely good spirits”, adding that:

“The prime minister has been moved this evening from intensive care back to the ward, where he will receive close monitoring during the early phase of his recovery.”

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab will continue handling the Prime Minister’s duties while he is in St Thomas’ Hospital and receiving after having been deputised earlier this week.

Boris Johnson continues to receive “standard oxygen treatment” reported Downing Street.

The Foreign Secretary urged Britons to continue adhering to the lockdown restrictions over the Easter Holidays warning that the government would not be able to lockdown until meeting next week in the fears that it would cause a second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Prime Minister’s pregnant fiance, Carrie Symonds, is also recovering from her coronavirus symptoms as she continues her self-isolation at her flat in Camberwell.
