Niall Horan Denies Rumours Of A Ten-Year One Direction Reunion

The reunion would mark ten years since Simon Cowell formed the boy band group on The X Factor, consisting of Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan.

Niall Horan denies rumours of a ten-year One Direction reunion, which fans were looking forward to on July 23 2020. It has been a rollercoaster of confusion as fans thought there were many clues that the band would be having a reunion.

The reunion would mark ten years since Simon Cowell formed the group on The X Factor. The boyband consisted of Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan.

The band broke up in 2015 and it has caused a lot of tension between the members, as Zayn Malik left to follow his solo career. Not too long after he left the band went on hiatus and Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan also decided to do their own solo careers.

In April Liam Payne told The Sun that the group had been talking more recently, discussing tenth-anniversary plans, though it was revealed that this could have all been done as a way of self-promotion for his career.

Later speaking to People Magazine, Payne said the former band is ‘in the middle of [figuring out] what to do’ to celebrate their ten-year anniversary.

“I mean, it’s a tough one. I can’t promise any reunion plans because it just isn’t it right now.” Payne said.

Niall Horan denies the rumours and has stopped the excited fans by saying that the band has nothing new that they could release so they will not be having a reunion.

During an Instagram Live with Cobra Puma Golf UK, Niall Horan was asked about whether or not One Direction will have a ten-year reunion. Niall responded saying, “Absolutely not! It’s nuts, it’s strange. Sometimes [being in the boyband] feels like it was yesterday. Other times it feels like fifty years ago.”

Even though there have been a few rumours and trends on social media for a ‘One Direction 2020 reunion’, the group has still not sorted out the issues they have amongst each other.

Have they made up with Zayn Malik? Does Niall Horan have the final say in what will happen? Who knows for sure, they may surprise us or they may just keep on their own paths.
