Most front-line workers like doctors and nurses are expressing their concern because without proper personal protective equipment their lives are at risk.

However, some National Health Service officials are trying to stop these doctors and nurses as well as other staff members from conferring with the public about these shortages. A newsletter was sent, appreciating the hard work and efforts made by the retired staff who had returned to the workforce and retweeting posts from a trust`s account.

The newsletter stated that staff were to avoid “commenting on political issues, such as PPE”.

Another trust put up posters in hospital staff areas which informed healthcare workers not to “make public appeals for equipment, donations or volunteers”.

Clearly the National Health Service managers are trying to use several techniques to intimidate healthcare workers. This may demotivate front-line workers who are risking their lives to save other citizens in UK.

Dr Jenny Vaughan, law and policy lead at campaigning organisation Doctors` association UK, said  their concerns “weren`t listened to properly”.
