A 43-year-old German man is believed to be responsible for the missing of young girl, Madeleine McCann. According to reports, it is suspected that the German man whose name was not revealed, was around the area were little Madeleine was before she went missing in Portugal 13 years ago.

The suspected German man is a child sex offender who is currently serving a sentence in custody. Reports say that the man is white with short blond hair and almost 6ft tall with slim build at the time. Officers are pleading for public assistance in puzzling out the case of the missing young pretty girl.

A leader of the Met Police inquiry said:”Someone out there knows a lot more than they’re letting on.”

At the moment the Met police are working hand in glove with the German and Portuguese police and they said that Madeleine`s case remains a “missing persons” investigation since there is no “definitive evidence” as to whether Madeleine is alive or not.

Nonetheless, the German investigators have decided to classify the case as a murder inquiry. In a statement the German Police said:”There is reason to assume that there are other persons, apart from the suspect, who have concrete knowledge of the course of the crime and maybe also of the place where the body was left.”
