Meghan Markle just delivered the ultimate masterclass in refined shade—and she did it with a handwritten note. The Duchess of Sussex responded to Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast host Amanda Hirsch after she jokingly admitted she was “scared” for Meghan ahead of her Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan.
“Dear Amanda, I heard you were feeling scared,” Meghan penned in elegant cursive on a monogrammed stationary card, which Amanda shared on Instagram on March 19. “Don’t be!”

Then, in true duchess fashion, she sealed the deal with, “This is the fun part—let’s enjoy it.”

Even Amanda couldn’t contain her excitement. “OH MY DUCHESS,” she gushed in her Instagram caption. The podcaster later confessed on her Instagram Stories, “Beyond shook. Beyond spiralling.”
And because no fangirl moment is complete without some hilarious admissions, she added, “Did I smell the paper? Yes! Do I want my own monogram? Yes. Am I absolutely flabbergasted and obsessed? F–K. YES. @meghan, you have a fan for life.”
Meghan Markle’s Netflix Era: A Royal Return to TV
Premiering on March 4, With Love, Meghan Markle brings the duchess back to the small screen, but this time, it’s all about culinary delights and cosy home vibes.

The series, which has already been renewed for a second season, showcases Meghan’s cooking skills, favourite recipes, and a glimpse into her life with her husband Prince Harry and their adorable kids, Archie, 5, and Lilibet “Lili” Diana, 3.
While fans have been savouring Meghan’s return to TV, critics have been dishing out their usual scepticism. Among them? Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith, who didn’t mince words when asked about Meghan’s new venture.
“I honestly wouldn’t watch it,” she declared on Good Morning Britain, bluntly adding, “I just think there’s more to life than how you look and how your friends think of you.”
The Drama, the Shade, and the Inevitable Haters
Amanda wasn’t wrong to predict some backlash—because let’s be real, Meghan Markle could post a pancake recipe, and the internet would still have opinions.
But if this latest exchange proves anything, it’s that Meghan Markle isn’t just handling the scrutiny—she’s doing it with class, confidence, and a pen that delivers both warmth and wit. And honestly? That’s a royal response worth bowing down to.
