“We will make step-by-step changes each week to gradually restore freedoms. We will monitor each change we make, so we know what impact each change has had on Wales’ public health situation.”

As Easter approaches, the Labour first minister is also expected to announce that some tourist accommodation will be allowed to reopen as insinuated before.

Non-essential retail, as well as garden centres, are set to reopen in a few days. Beginning from Monday, hairsaloons and barbers will be allowed to reopen.

All primary pupils and those studying crucial exams will return to classrooms on Monday.

However, there has been a rift between Boris Johnson and the first minister of Wales, with Welsh condemning the prime minister for lifting curbs too soon.
