Manchester City Win First Leg Of Derby 1-3 Against United

Manchester City won the first leg of the Carabao Cup derby against United 1-3 as the host put on a dismal performance in front of their home crowd.

The Manchester City defence proved impenetrable and undaunting against the Man United attacks as the shutdown attempt after attempt.

Bernardo Silva scored the first goal for Man City with a thunderbolt of a shot taken that found its way to the top corner of the Man Utd goals in the 17th minute of play.

The red devils tried to find an equalizer but their attempt was shut down leading to Manchester City scoring their next goal from the counter-attack.

Bernando Silva sent through a wonderfully placed through ball to Riyad Mahrez who skillfully worked his way around De Gea to tap the ball into United’s empty goal giving City a 0-2 lead in the 33rd minute.

A few minutes later it was like Man United were hit with a bad case of déjà vu when another offensive strike was shut down by the City defence which once again led to a goal arising from the counter-attack that followed.
