Kylie Jenner tops Forbes’ magazine highest-paid celebrity list in the world days after they revoked her billionaire status. On Thursday, June 4th, Forbes announced the 2020 edition of its annual Celebrity 100 list and the results were surprising.

According to Forbes, Kylie Jenner earned $590 million pre-tax from June 2019 through to May 2020. This means that Kylie Jenner has been named the highest-paid celebrity on Forbes annual list, but she still does not have a billionaire status.

Forbes had revoked Kylie Jenner’s billionaire status after listing Jenner as the world’s youngest “self-made” billionaire for two years in a row, as they found that the success of her cosmetics brand had been exaggerated, placing her actual value at just under $900 million.

Kylie Jenner took to Twitter on May 29th and responded to the report by Forbes magazine that she felt was inaccurate. Jenner tweeted, “What am I even waking up to. I thought this was a reputable site.. all I see are a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions lol. I’ve never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. period”

“‘Even creating tax returns that were likely forged’ that’s your proof? so you just THOUGHT they were forged? like actually what am I reading,” Jenner added.

In her next tweet, Jenner stated, “but okay, I am blessed beyond my years, I have a beautiful daughter, and a successful business and I’m doing perfectly fine. Followed by another tweet –

Forbes reports that Jenner is still wealthy as the bulk of her 2019 income came from selling the majority stake in Kylie Cosmetics to Coty for $600 million in November. Kylie Jenner tops the highest-paid celebrity list by far, showing everyone that she is successful.

The next highest-paid celebrities on the list are Kanye West who earned $170 million and is ranked as the highest-paid musician, and Roger Federer who is ranked as the world’s highest-paid athlete follows third. The list goes on to Cristiano Ronaldo, and Lione Messi, then Tyler Perry, Neymar, Howard Stern, LeBron James, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, that make up the top 10 of the Celebrity Top 100.

Forbes stated that the Celebrity Top 100 earned $6.1 billion combined before taxes and fees, which is $200 million less than the 2019 earnings. This proves how the coronavirus pandemic has also affected the wealthy as many stadiums and sports arenas had to shut down due to the outbreak of the virus, though these celebrities are still earning quite a lot of money.
