According to a recent ConservativeHome survey, Badenoch has fallen to seventh place in the shadow cabinet popularity rankings, with a score of +32. This marks a sharp decline from her +73 rating in November when she defeated Robert Jenrick to secure the leadership.

The survey also reveals a growing sense of pessimism among Tory members. Optimism about winning the next general election has plummeted from 38% in November to just 11% under Badenoch’s leadership.

Can Kemi Badenoch Bounce Back?

Despite the grim outlook, Henry Hill suggests Badenoch’s fortunes could still change. “Opposition is a volatile business,” he noted. “One strong month could reverse the trend. But it’s clear that the mood among members has soured.”

As Badenoch grapples with internal challenges and waning support, her leadership will face increasing scrutiny in the months ahead.
