‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ Filming Is Still On Track

‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ filming is still on track even after several of the crew members were assumed to have tested positive for Covid-19 on the first day back on set. The shoot is now into day five and the studio says that progress is going well.

Despite reports in the UK press overnight that there would be disruption caused by positive Covid-19 virus tests among the crew, Uni has debunked the stories and the studio won’t confirm any positive results.

“Any reports indicating that ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ has halted production are categorically untrue,” a spokesperson confirmed.

The blockbuster sequel is the sixth film in the franchise which is filming at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England, after having shot a few scenes in Canada in March but was stopped due to the pandemic.

It is understood that none of the cast of ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’, which includes Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldblum, and Chris Pratt have tested positive for the virus, but that more than one crew member has assumed to have prior to arriving at the Pinewood lot.

This means that even if a crew member did test positive for Covid-19 they would not have come into contact with anyone else and can now isolate.

‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ had prepared well for the post-lockdown world as it even had arranged for a ‘drive-thru coronavirus test facility’ as it prepared to resume filming this month.

The cast that was flown out to the UK were also required to do a two-week quarantine once arriving, before being allowed on set, according to the UK’s travel rules.

With the added ‘rigorous safety protocols on-site’ in guidance with pandemic regulations, the drive-thru facility was to see that everyone involved in the ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ would go through the test before they gained access to the sound-stage.

It seems that the added precautions for the Covid-19 virus were put in place well. Realistically with a production of this size, and the number of crew that is required, positive virus tests are at least likely if not inevitable.

Fans of the franchise are expecting ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ to be released cinemas on June 11th, 2021.
