Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have postponed their wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic. The wedding was meant to take place late this summer in Italy.
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez got engaged in March 2019 during a romantic beach getaway and were excited to plan their dream wedding, but everything has been put on hold now with the pandemic.
The couple wants to wait until the time is right. An E! News source said that “They have been struggling for weeks over this decision, but with no return to normalcy in the near future, the couple felt postponing the wedding was the safest and smartest choice.”
The source also revealed that “Guests have recently been notified that the wedding will not be happening in late summer as anticipated.”
Lopez and Rodriguez are still looking for a possible new date for the wedding, but with the pandemic taking place, it looks like the couple will not be having their wedding as planned any time soon.
During an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Alex Rodriguez explained that there is no rush. He stated, “Whatever [Jennifer Lopez] wants to do, [they] can talk about it, but if [they are] going to be together for the rest of [their] lives, what is the rush?”.
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez continue their self-isolation in Miami with Rodriguez’s daughters Natasha, aged 15, and Ella, aged 11, and Lopez’s children Emme and Max, both aged 12. They have been enjoying being able to spend time together as a family.

One thing I’m incredibly grateful for right now is getting to spend additional time with my family. I love spending so much time with these beautiful girls, who still laugh when I make goofy faces in pictures. 🤣 . Each day I am trying to focus on doing one positive thing for someone else. This is a time where we all need to help each other, and by doing so we will help ourselves remember that this situation may be temporary, but our actions are permanent. Let’s make the most of this time and stay together as a community, even while we are apart with our families. . I hope you are doing OK and are doing your best to keep your spirits up. Try to do something positive today, like texting someone you haven’t spoke to recently just to say hello. Be grateful for the people in your life. You’ll brighten their day, and then ask them to pay it forward and reach out to someone else to do the same. . Stay safe and spread love! We will come out of this, so let’s do our best to take care of each other. ❤️
