Singer-songwriter Grimes expressed her discontent after learning that her four-year-old son with billionaire Elon Musk was brought to a high-profile press conference at the White House.
Musk, a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump, joined him in the Oval Office on Tuesday. During the event, Trump introduced their son, X Æ A-Xii, to members of the press, calling him a “great guy” and a “high IQ individual.”

When a social media user praised the child’s behaviour, Grimes responded with concern, writing, “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank [you] for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”

Grimes Distances Herself From Musk’s Controversies
Grimes and Musk dated on and off for about four years and share three children together. However, in recent months, she has made efforts to distance herself from Musk’s actions and political affiliations.
Last month, after Musk was accused of making a gesture resembling a Nazi salute during a public appearance, Grimes publicly condemned “Nazi-ism” and “the far alt-right.” When a fan considered covering up their Grimes tattoo in response to Musk’s controversy, she defended her independence, writing:
“It’s absurd that someone can be this cancelled for something their ex did before they even heard it happened. I am not him. I will not make a statement every time he does something. I can only send love back into a world that is hurting.”

Musk’s Expanding Family and Public Scrutiny
Musk is believed to have 11 children, including three with Grimes. Their other two children are named Techno Mechanicus and Exa Dark Sideræl.
While Musk continues to be an active political and business figure, his personal life often finds itself in the headlines—something Grimes has repeatedly expressed frustration over.
