Golden Globe winner Idris Elba announced on Monday that he has tested positive for Coronavirus but is not showing any symptoms.
He was tested last Friday after coming into contact with someone who ended up testing positive for COVID-19.
“This morning I tested positive for Covid 19,” he announced.
“I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus.”
Idris Elba now joins Olga Kurylenko, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson on the list of Hollywood celebrities that have recently tested positive for the Coronavirus.

The UK now has recorded 1,543 cases of people that have tested positive for COVID-19 with the number of deaths increased to 55.
The Golden Globe winner went on to promote awareness of the virus as well as prevention methods in the video he took with his wife, going on to tell the public:
“Look, this is serious,”
“Now is the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands.”
“We live in a divided world right now – we can all feel it,”
“It’s been bulls–t. But now is the time for solidarity, now is the time for thinking about each other.”
