Erykah Badu has been serenading the world with live quarantine concerts straight from her bedroom. The singer has launched a concert series from the comfort of her bedroom.
Badu’s streaming platform allows users to watch these bedroom concerts in their own homes. The concert is titled Apocalypse: live from Badubotron.
The streaming site was launched late last month and works along with her merchandise line.
The artist explains that this platform is experimental and is her venture to remove the middleman that artists often have to deal with on popular streaming sites and get the music out directly to the world.
This is with the aim to ensure that the income streams come directly from her fans to her pockets, as opposed to getting a mere cut on ticket sales.
Her Apocalypse 1 concert tickets cost only $1 and her Apocalypse 2 was $2. Her Apocalypse 3 is due to be $3.
Apocalypse 2 aired live on her site the 23rd of April and is a cool session of the singer jamming to some of her popular tunes.
With remixed versions of new and old songs. The bedroom set looks amazing. Erykah Badu has gone all out with the visual stimulus.
There is a poster of Yoko Ono hanging above her on the wall. The next live show Apocalypse 3 is bound to uplift the atmosphere of your home this quarantine.
