Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Will Return To UK After Pandemic To Restart Charity

After Mr Scobie and Carolyn Durand, published "Finding Freedom" a book that claimed to clarify issues about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, they have been interviewed on several platforms on the couples future. Although, the Sussex royals have distanced themselves from the tell-all book.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are preparing to return to the UK when the coronavirus pandemic clears off to restart their charity activities according to Omid Scobie, the co-author of new tell-all on the Sussex royal Finding Freedom.

With the ongoing coronavirus activities, it’s impossible for American citizens to travel to the UK due to the alarming number of affected people in the U.S. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now living in Santa Barbara, California.

Mr Scobie claimed that the Meghan Markle and Prince Harry returning to the UK will be to restart their charity work, “Meghan and Harry would love to get out there and be active in the field”.

“Harry and Meghan have made it clear that their work in the UK, including their royal patronages, will continue. While their base will be in the US, I think once travel restrictions ease we will see them moving around again and undertaking trips to the UK, both privately and professionally,” Mr Scobie added.

Mr Scobie also pointed out to Royal Central that most of Meghan and Harry’s charities, “including all four of Meghan’s patronages”, are in the UK.

Mr Scobie noted that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry return to the UK will not be for the Royal Family while adding that the couple is more “forward-focused” on their newer endeavours, like their non-profit organisation Archewell.

“The UK will always be important to them, but I don’t think we’ll ever see that happen again as working royals,” Mr Scobie said.

Meghan Markle has kept her four patronages, including two given to her by The Queen, after she stepped down as active Royal. The former Duchess still works with the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the Mayhew, the National Theatre in London and Smart Works

Royal reporter Victoria Murphy said in 2019 Meghan’s patronages are a “key part” of being in the Royal Family, as they can give a large boost to public exposure to charities.

“It allows them to transform in many ways the fortune of these charities and organisations by lending the profile that they have as members of the royal family. The attention can hopefully encourage things like increasing donations to charities and awareness of the causes,” She added.

Prince Harry has also continued his work with Senteable, a charity he helped found in 2006. In January this year, he spoke at a dinner for the AIDS and HIV charity about his “sadness” about exiting the Royal Family.

“I will continue to be the same man who holds his country dear and dedicates his life to supporting the causes, charities and military communities that are so important to me,” Harry reaffirmed.

After Mr Scobie and Carolyn Durand, published “Finding Freedom” a book that claimed to clarify issues about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, they have been interviewed on several platforms on the couples future. Although, the Sussex royals have distanced themselves from the tell-all book.

In a statement, their representatives said: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not interviewed and did not contribute to “Finding Freedom”. This book is based on the authors’ own experiences as members of the royal press corps and heir own independent reporting.”
