It has been revealed that Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn are expecting to have their first child together in just a matter of weeks, after keeping the pregnancy quiet during the global Covid-19 lockdown.
A source told The Sun: “Ed and Cherry are over the moon. They’re very excited, but have kept things very low key.”
The source went on to say: “Lockdown was a perfect excuse not to be seen out and about too much, but things are getting closer and the excitement has been building so they have started telling friends and family.”
“They’re just making the last of the preparations at home, and the baby is expected later this summer. It’s a really happy time and their families are all totally delighted for them and cannot wait to meet the new arrival.” – The source added.
The singer had announced that he was taking a break from music and social media last Christmas eve to focus more on his personal life, to ‘travel, write and read’.
Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn have been working on their Suffolk home, building on to it for the last five years while also gardening and growing their own fruit and vegetables, and now they are finally starting to grow their family by bringing their own child into the world.
The couple has been together for five years, with Ed confirming last summer that he and Cherry Seaborn officially got married in a private ceremony in December 2018.
Ed and Cherrys’ lives are not put on display like other celebrities, with both their social media presence not being active, they have really tried to build their lives with each other without others prying into it, so we can only rely on what we are told by sources.
As we are told that they are expecting a child in a matter of weeks, we can only hope that we can get a sneak peek at what the little one will look like.
