While the lockdown is still very much effective in Chichester city centre armed police and ‘hot zone’ medics were called to a very disturbing scene of an event.
Reports show that the area has been cordoned off with at least ten police cars which headed to the scene at about 10 pm last night.
Further reports say cops cordoned off the area around Chichester Cross and North Street.
Without a clear detail of what exactly transpired at the centre as yet, available photographs show dozens of emergency responders at the scene.
We also learnt that the HART ‘Hazardous Area Response Team’; a trained group of paramedics who specialises on going into ‘hot zone’ of incidents – have also been invited to the scene.
Although the cordon was reportedly lifted about 7 am, officers have told members of the public to remain in their homes and stay away from the centre.
A detail to this story may follow later once they’re available.
