Celebrities are taking advantage of the age of the internet. Tech businesses founded by celebrities are spreading through the internet. Gone are the days where celebrities were only known for flaunting fancy lifestyles while oozing effortless beauty.
The internet has allowed a more intimate look into the lives of celebrities and it’s not so much glitter and glamour. Jessica Alba’s Instagram feed, for example, takes the viewer into part of her family time and passion The Honest Company.
The star founded The Honest Company in 2012. Her company sells baby products, make-up and beauty products and more. Another celebrity that has taken his passion into tech is Will.I.Am. The star started his tech company with the future in mind.
He believes that the future of music and entertainment is in technology. His tech company i.am+ develops products from tech bots, to virtual reality goggles. New reports claim that the company is in some financial trouble though.
We’ll remain with fingers crossed that it all works out well for the star and his venture. Reese Witherspoon is another star that has been trailblazing with her tech company Hello Sunshine.
The actress started the company as a means to provide a platform for women’s stories. The company is behind some of a few binge-worthy shows. Like “Big Little Lies” for example and the new show “Little Fires Everywhere”.
The last celebrity and nowhere near least is legendary musician and producer Dr Dre. He started his company Beats By Dre by producing custom headphones that took off exceedingly well.
The internet has become a great space for celebrities to share their business interests and passions. Social media is one such space that allows them to do so. But these platforms are there to be utilised by all users.
Let us all start thinking about the future and how we can use it to build our own dreams. The internet is the future!
