Beyoncé has been offered an £80million deal with Disney to work on three new projects. The singer first worked for Disney in 2007 with Alice In Wonderland as part of the Disney Dream Portrait series.
Beyoncé last worked with the Disney studio on the live-action redo of The Lion King movie in 2019, where she voiced Nala as well as releasing a 14-track album to accompany the movie.
The Sun reported that Beyoncé has been offered a good deal from Disney and is close to signing an agreement of £80million to work with the company on three new projects. It is claimed that one of the projects will be the soundtrack for the Marvel film Black Panther 2, which is due to release in 2021.
A source told The Sun, “Beyoncé has become a major player for Disney and is the perfect fit for their brand.
“She’s worked on a number of projects for them, including voicing Nala in the reboot of The Lion King, and now they’re keen to secure her for more projects.
“Disney have put forward a deal worth around £80million, which will secure Beyoncé for three major projects, including the Black Panther sequel.”
The source claimed that as part of the deal they want Beyoncé voicing some of the documentaries coming to Dinsey Plus, especially after the success they had having Meghan Markle voicing the film Elephant on the platform.
“The negotiations are still ongoing but it’s the final details that are being,” the source added.
Beyoncé has three children with rapper Jay-Z and has been very involved in speaking out for the Black Lives Matter movement as well as giving an inspirational speech at a virtual graduation ceremony.
In ‘YouTube Original’s Dear Class of 2020 special’ Beyonce said: “The entertainment business is still very sexist, It’s still very male-dominated, and as a woman, I did not see enough female role models given the opportunity to do what I knew I had to do.”
“Stepping out is the best thing you can do for self-discovery. I know how hard it is to step out and bet on yourself. I had to trust that I was ready… but that was terrifying,” Beyoncé added.
We can definitely say that we are ready to have more of Beyoncé appearing in Disney as she steps out and shows us how it’s done.
